This is our little corner of Mama Honee where we can share more than what fits on a honey jar. Here, you will find family stories, recipes, honey education, behind-the-scenes moments, and glimpses into what it looks like to build a family business from the ground up. Of course, we are going to talk about honey. A lot. But The Honee Table is also about family, legacy, entrepreneurship, and the journey behind Mama Honee.

How Mama Honee Began

Like many small businesses, Mama Honee started with an idea. There was no massive business plan or big team behind it. It began with a simple desire to create something our family could call our own. I wanted to build something that could grow with us. Something that could create opportunities for my children, teach them about responsibility and entrepreneurship, and one day become part of our family legacy.

That vision eventually became Mama Honee. From the beginning, I wanted the brand to feel warm and familiar. I wanted it to feel like something you might discover at a local market, take home to your family, drizzle over warm biscuits, add to a favorite recipe, or give as a thoughtful gift. I wanted it to feel like home. That is why our tagline means so much to us: Rooted in Family, Made with Love. Because that is truly where our story begins.

Learning Along the Way

One thing we quickly learned is that starting a business means learning constantly. We have learned about honey varieties, packaging, labels, pricing, inventory, farmers markets, customer preferences, and all the little details that come with turning an idea into something real. Some ideas have worked beautifully. Others have taught us what to do differently the next time. There have been exciting moments, unexpected challenges, and plenty of times when we had to figure things out as we went.

That is part of the journey I want to share here. I do not want The Honee Table to show only the perfectly polished moments. I want to share the real process too. The planning, the experimenting, the learning, the market preparation, and the excitement of watching someone purchase something your family created. There is something incredibly meaningful about seeing an idea move from a conversation at home to a product sitting on someone else’s kitchen table.

Why Honey?

The more we learned about honey, the more fascinating it became. Honey seems simple until you realize how much variety exists from one jar to the next. The flowers matter. The region matters. The season matters. Even the way honey is harvested and prepared can affect its flavor, color, texture, and aroma. Some honey is light and delicate. Other varieties are bold, earthy, rich, buttery, floral, or deeply sweet. Then there is honeycomb, creamed honey, infused honey, and so many other ways to enjoy it.

While Mama Honee may sell honey, the heart of the business has always been about something bigger. It is about creating a family legacy. It is about taking an idea and giving it room to become something meaningful. That is also why I wanted to create The Honee Table. A product can only tell part of a story. The rest lives here.
